Anbernic RG353P Android meets Linux

The Anbernic RG353P is the upgrade to the popular PockGo S30 that was released in early 2021, making some improvements as well as an upgraded chip. So when Gogamegeek offered to send me the RG353P for review purposes, i was interested to see how it compared with other Anbernic products. First off i wanted to mention the packaging, as for an Anbernic product, the box looks rather ‘grown up’ and colourful, compared to the previous bland packaging they have used. It now looks a little more premium, which is nice to see. When you first hold the RG353P, you will … Continue reading Anbernic RG353P Android meets Linux

Powkiddy RGB20S review.

When Gogamegeek sent me the new Powkiddy RGB20S, the first thing i noticed was how strange it looked. This was both a good and bad thing though, but overall the design is certainly a head-turner. The size of the RGB20S for a mini handheld, is just about right but with some caveats. First off we have another RK3326 device, which i was originally unsure whether this could stand the ground in 2022, as most handhelds released so far have newer chips. But i was pleasantly surprised by what i found. One area i am unsure about is the design and … Continue reading Powkiddy RGB20S review.

Anbernic RG503….. OLED Goodness!!

Anbernic has had a few successes of late. With the RG351, the excellent RG351V and the more recent RG552 retro gamers are still waiting for a ‘true’ next-gen handheld, not only from Anbernic, but in general. I was quite excited when Gogamegeek offered to send me the latest handheld from Anbernic, the RG503. I’d read some other articles regarding this handheld, with some mixed reports, but plenty of praise around the OLED screen. So how did i find the RG503, read on to find out. First off i wanted to say straight away that the RG503 is NOT that next … Continue reading Anbernic RG503….. OLED Goodness!!

Miyoo Mini is the perfect portable companion.

We have seen so many new handhelds hit the market recently, all moving towards having larger screens, bigger and better processors and a better form factor. However some of the newer handhelds being released recently have been aimed at those gamers, wanting something that is ultra portable, whilst at the same time, still powerful enough to play your retro gaming classics. So the handheld i’m going to be looking at today which was kindly sent to me by Gogamegeek, is the Miyoo Mini, a handheld, which in my opinion is probably one of the best portable handhelds released so far. … Continue reading Miyoo Mini is the perfect portable companion.

Finally something to help with sleep….. Sleep Now™ Melatonin Diffuser.

For those of you who have followed my website, you will remember a couple of articles i did, a while back. I looked at a number of products that claim to help you sleep, but keeping out the noise, these ranged from standard earplugs, to very expensive noise cancelling earbuds, from Bose and QuietOn. You can revisit those articles here: https://somethingnewreviews.wordpress.com/2020/10/16/do-you-suffer-from-poor-sleep-can-any-of-these-products-help-beat-that-snoring-partner/ https://somethingnewreviews.wordpress.com/2021/05/26/quieton-noise-cancelling-sleep-buds/ https://somethingnewreviews.wordpress.com/2021/08/09/quieton-3-hands-on-are-these-better-than-the-previous-version/ I won’t spoil the articles for you by telling you what i thought of those product’s, just in case you haven’t read them before, but lets just say i’ve still been searching for that one product to … Continue reading Finally something to help with sleep….. Powkiddy A20 review. Great potential.

I received the Powkiddy A20 about a week, sent to me by Gogamegeek. In that time, i’ve had chance to try both the built-in OS and pre-loaded games, as well as standalone emulators, played through the Android OS, which at this moment is not fully operational, though i was told by Gogamegeek, that an update to Android will be taking place sometime during March. Powkiddy appear to be releasing handhelds quite frequently, the most notable of these was the Powkiddy Max 2, which i recently reviewed, and loved it, although it did fail to play PSP games such as God … Continue reading Powkiddy A20 review. Powkiddy Q36 mini retro handheld……. Small can still be mighty!!

So as we start to get into 2022, there is already a small influx of new gaming handhelds starting to appear. Gogamegeek, recently sent me the new handheld by Powkiddy, which is the Q36 mini. This is meant to be the ultimate in portability, which it succeeds at, but is it any good? The Q36 comes in a very small box, which has a nice and cheerful design to it. This was nice to see, as most boxes these days are quite plain and simple. In the box there is a USB-C charging cable, a small lanyard and of course … Continue reading Powkiddy Q36 mini retro handheld……. Small can still be mighty!!

Anbernic RG552 gaming handheld. The big boy of handhelds?

I have been waiting eagerly for the anticipated Anbernic RG552, after Go Game Geek informed me they were awaiting stock and would be sending me one for review. So it’s finally arrived and in this article i will be unboxing it and taking a closer look at some of its features which include both Android and Linux operating systems, as well as taking a look at some of the emulators which came pre-installed. The version Gogamegeek sent me is the grey 256GB one, which has around 30,000 games on it and is priced at $349. The one i received came … Continue reading Anbernic RG552 gaming handheld. KINHANK Super Console PC-Lite with Windows 10 + Batocera impressions.

When Go Game Geek allowed me to test the KINHANK Super Console, i wasn’t too sure what to expect. I knew it was a hybrid console, which you could use as a windows 10 PC, as well as a retro gaming machine. But how would it handle gaming, after-all it’s advertised as having over 60,000 games and around 104 emulators, including Gamecube and PS2. Could this be too good to be true, and a gamers dream come true? Well yes, and no……. Read on to find out why, and keep an eye out for the video arriving on my YouTube … Continue reading KINHANK Super Console PC-Lite with Windows 10 + Batocera impressions.
